Football fans kicked out for making vile ‘helicopter crash’ gestures | UK News
Two Millwall fans were kicked out from their own club’s football grounds for making ‘offensive gestures’, it has been reported.
Footage taken at The Den in Bermondsey, in south-east London, and then shared on social media showed a group of men making the gestures.
They were reportedly mocking the death of former Leicester owner and billionaire Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was killed in a helicopter crash in 2018 alongside four other people.
The Metropolitan Police told Sky News ‘two men were detained and ejected’ from the grounds ahead of the club’s FA Cup third round tie against Leicester City on Saturday.
A police spokesperson added: ‘They will each be summonsed for an offence under the Public Order Act.
‘Enquiries are ongoing to locate a third man in connection with the incident.’
Leicester Police Events, a police account supporting Leicester City’s football safety and security, earlier reported its officers were ‘aware of the footage circulating’.

In November 2023, Sunderland fan Keelan Murray who also mocked the crash was banned from attending matches for three years.
Among the others who died in the crash were Leicester City employees Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffe and his partner Izabela Roza Lechowicz, who was also a pilot.
Investigators discovered that the pilot’s pedals became disconnected from the tail rotor, causing the aircraft making a sharp right turn which was ‘impossible’ to control.
