Murder investigation launched after man stabbed at Abbey Road | UK News
Police are investigating a murder after a man was stabbed to death near an iconic London street.
A 29-year-old man was found injured at the Abbey estate, close to Abbey Road, just after 7.30pm on Friday.
He was rushed to hospital but the man, who hasn’t been named yet, died later that evening.
Parts of the estate were cordoned off amid a heavy police presence as ‘scared’ neighbours watched on.
Officers with torches appeared to be searching for something, with some using a ladder to peer over walls and into nearby gardens.
The Metropolitan Police has now confirmed a murder investigation has been launched, and say no arrests have been made ‘at this early stage’.
