Driver dragged out of van and and beaten with baseball bats at red traffic light | UK News
A van driver was violently beaten by five baseball-wielding men in a ‘targeted attack’ in Bradford.
Footage shows the gang dragging the victim, 26, out of his vehicle before hitting him 25 times with their weapons shortly after 10pm on Monday.
One can even be heard shouting: ‘Break his legs.’
Another is also seen trying to stamp on the driver’s head.
Other motorists at the red traffic light looked on as the brutal attack unfolded.
Four of the men are then seen sprinting off as the traffic light turns to green.
But one remains, delivering another five blows.
West Yorkshire Police has confirmed they are investigating the assaults.
They said: ‘Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault on Wakefield Road, Bradford.
‘Roads Policing officers were on patrol when at 10.15pm on January 29 they came across a vehicle with significant damage and a male occupant inside with serious injuries.
‘It’s understood the man had been assaulted by a group of males with baseball bats, in what’s believed to be a targeted attack.
‘The victim, a man aged 26, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head arms and legs.
