Mona Lisa splashed with soup by protestors in Paris’ Louvre museum | World News

Environment protesters have caused outrage by throwing soup over the Mona Lisa.
Footage shows two female protesters ducking under the barriers protecting the Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece before lobbing soup over the painting.
They then both took off their jackets to reveal matching white t-shirts with the words ‘Riposte Alimentaire’ written in black capital letters – which means ‘Food Response’ in English.
The painting is housed at the Louvre in Paris, France.
The two protesters were reportedly demanding the right to ‘healthy and sustainable food’.
