Police lash out at trolls over Baby Elsa found in a bag in Newham | UK News
Detectives investigating how a newborn was abandoned on a freezing roadside have hit out at social media trolls for ‘abusing’ the child’s mother.
The baby, named only as Elsa, was found crying in a shopping bag with only a blanket to shield her from sub-zero temperatures in Newham, east London, at around 9pm last Thursday.
She had been left by High Street South – a busy dual carriageway – where it gives onto a long footpath known as Greenway.
It was soon discovered she was just an hour old when she was found, and still had her umbilical cord attached.
