Footballer admits kicking woman in the face on holiday in Spain | UK News
A footballer has admitted kicking a woman in the face at a hotel in Spain.
Finlay Cross-Adair, who plays for Championship side Preston North End, pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm (ABH).
Cross-Adair, 19, kicked the woman to her face while on holiday in June last year, causing a cut to her lip.
He initially denied the attack and was granted bail on the condition he trained at the club six days a week and did not enter Longridge in Lancashire.
However, he changed his plea to guilty at Preston Crown Court yesterday.
Judge Ian Unsworth KC handed him an 18 month community order with 150 hours of unpaid work and 15 days rehabilitation requirements.
These include taking part in a Building Better Relationships program.
Cross-Adair, a boyhood supporter of Preston North End, has been training with the senior side since September 2022, making his match debut the following month.
He was on loan to Scottish League One side Annan Athletic when he was seriously hurt in a car crash in Lancaster in October.
He has been undergoing rehabilitation since.
Last week, meanwhile, another footballer, Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury was charged with drink driving.
The 26-year-old was pulled over by police in the early hours of Friday in Nottingham.
