British Airways cockpit ‘filled with fumes’ forcing it to land at Heathrow Airport | UK News
A BA flight was forced to return to London Heathrow today after the cockpit filled with fumes, according to reports.
Flight BA854 took off from the Airport at 7.25am today, and was due to land in Prague just after 10am.
Flight path data from FlightRadar24, showed the jet passing over Dover, but then making a U-turn turning.
Pilots headed back to make an emergency landing and they were met by several fire engines at Heathrow.
BA refused to give specifics beyond it being a ‘technical issue’.
A British Airway spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We’re sorry for the delay in our customers’ journey after the aircraft returned to Heathrow as a precaution.
‘Our teams looked after them whilst they waited to board a replacement aircraft to continue their journey.’
