Four people ‘known to one another’ found dead in home in Costessey | UK News
Four people have been found dead inside a house near Norwich this morning.
Their bodies were discovered at a property in the town of Cotessey shortly before 7am today.
Police rushed to the scene in Allan Bedford Crescent and forced entry after a person called to raise the alarm.
All four people are believed to be known to each other and officers say enquiries are ongoing to formally identify them.
Forensic investigations are also being carried out.
The ages and gender of those involved have not yet been confirmed by police.
A large police cordon is in place on the housing estate and a white tent was erected in the street outside the home.
Detective chief inspector Chris Burgess, from the Norfolk and Suffolk major investigation team, said: ‘Our investigation is in the very early stages and this is clearly a very distressing and tragic incident.
‘While we’re following a number of lines of enquiry, at this time we believe this is an isolated incident.
‘I understand that news of this incident will be shocking to the local community and as soon as we can we will release more information.’
