Two people have died after a plane crashed at the entrance of a golf club.

Paramedics discovered a 69-year-old man and an 82-year-old man suffering from ‘critical’ injuries after the small plane crashed at Boonah Golf club midday on Sunday.

Both men died from their injuries a few hours after the horrific crash.

Forensic Crash Unit Investigators will work with Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAUS) officials to determine the cause of the crash.

Photos showed mangled plane wreckage near the golf course, with emergency vehicles quick to the scene.

It’s believed the two men were trying to land at Boonah Airfield when the plane went down.

Police believe no mayday call was made from the men as the plane crashed.

Acting inspector Kerry Olsen said: ‘Tragically, two people have lost their lives as a result of that crash. Emergency services are still on the scene.

‘We have police with the families of the two persons who were on that plane. We wish those families every possible amount of support.’
