A man has been charged with murder after a body was found in a car at a multi-storey beside a London shopping centre.
Vasile Gorghescu from Southampton was arrested yesterday, a day after the man’s body was discovered in a vehicle parked at the Stratford Centre car park in Newham.
The 33-year-old has been remanded in custody and will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Police have not yet been able to confirm the identity of the man whose body was found.
Chief Superintendent Simon Crick said: ‘I know many local people use the Stratford Centre every day and this incident will of course cause considerable concern to shoppers and retailers.
‘I would like to reassure people that a man has been charged, but if you have information that you think could help us, I ask that you to contact police.’
