Man appears in court over shooting spree in Liverpool | UK News
A 49-year-old man has appeared in court over a series of shootings in Liverpool.
The first report of gunshots was received from a shop, with further incidents outside a cinema and at a nearby property on Wednesday night. No-one was injured.
The first shots were fired at the News and Booze corner shop, known locally as Sangha newsagents, at 8.30pm.
Around 20 minutes later staff at a Showcase Cinema on Stonedale retail park were threatened in the foyer before the gun was fired into the air.
Then, at around 10.20pm further gunshots were heard at a property on Malpas Road.
Leslie Garrett, of Ternhall Road, Liverpool, appeared in custody at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
He is charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and one count of attempted robbery.
He is also charged with possession of ammunition without a certificate.
He was ordered to next appear in custody at Liverpool Crown Court on February 5.
