New documents say Prince Andrew had ‘daily massages’ when visiting Epstein | UK News

Newly released court documents suggest the Duke of York received ‘daily massages’ while spending time at Jeffrey Epstein’s home.

Juan Alessi, who worked at paedophile financier Epstein’s home in Palm Beach, Florida, said Prince Andrew and his then wife Sarah Ferguson were both friends with him and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Mr Alessi was interviewed under oath in 2009, and the video of the interview has been unsealed by a judge alongside hundreds of others.

The documents were part of Virginia Giuffre’s settled 2015 civil claim against Maxwell.

During the interview with Mr Alessi, lawyer Katherine Ezell asked: ‘Were Prince Andrew and Princess Sarah friends of Ms Maxwell?’

Mr Alessi replied: ‘Both of them [Ms Maxwell and Mr Epstein].’

The Duke of York has been reported to the police by the campaign group Republic after allegations of sexual assault resurfaced in unsealed court documents relating to the scandal surrounding billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Issue date: Thursday January 4, 2024. PA Photo. Andrew, 63, who has previously strenuously denied the allegations, paid millions a year ago to settle a civil case out of court with Virginia Giuffre with no admission of guilt after she accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17. The development is a fresh setback for the late Queen's second son who, just 10 days ago, walked to church on Christmas Day with the King and the rest of the royal family, symbolising his gradual rehabilitation within the monarchy after his public appearance at his brother's coronation in his garter robes in May. The lawyer went on: ‘Did they ever have massages when they were there?’

Mr Alessi replied: ‘Prince Andrew did. I think Sarah was there only once and for a short time. I don’t think she slept in there. I cannot remember.

I think she was visiting Wellington and she came to the house and we met her. But Prince Andrew, yes, Prince Andrew spent weeks with us.’

Ms Ezell then asked: ‘Where would he sleep?’

Mr Alessi answered: ‘In the main room, the main guest bedroom. That was the blue room.’

The lawyer then said: ‘And, so, when he would come and stay, during that time would he frequently have massages?’

Mr Alessi replied: ‘I would say, daily massages.’

Andrew stepped down from public life after the furore over his friendship with Epstein, and paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault case with Virginia Giuffre, a woman he claimed never to have met.

He was cast out of the working monarchy and no longer uses his HRH style after Ms Giuffre, who was trafficked by Epstein, accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17.

The duke strenuously denies any wrongdoing.

Nearly 200 people have been named as having links to Epstein’s child sex ring – including many with an innocuous connection or as alleged victims.

One of those people was British scientist Professor Stephen Hawking – after Epstein asked Maxwell how to disprove an allegation that he had participated in an underage orgy.
