Tesco shopper has had just about enough of this tool’s nonsense | UK News
A Tesco shopper fully took matters into his own hands when he spotted a yob attacking a security worker.
Footage filmed at the Tesco Express store in Fratton, Portsmouth, captured a violent thug abusing staff before getting brutally taken down by another customer.
The clip shows the attacker swinging punches and launching a beer crate at the security officer in the middle of the fruit and veg aisle on Thursday evening.
As he walks towards the stunned guard, he can be heard shouting: ‘Who’s stupid? Who’s f******* stupid? You’re stupid.’
Despite the guard backing off and holding his hands up to protect himself, the man continues to try and attack him.
In a second clip taken shortly after, the yob is seen launching a crate of beer towards the security worker as other members of staff stand nearby.
But with nobody else intervening, another shopper decides to take things by the scruff of the neck (literally) and deal with it himself.
Out of nowhere, he comes hurtling towards the attacker, grabs him by the face and neck, then slams him down onto the supermarket floor.
While holding his face on the ground, the have-a-go hero tells him: ‘Stay f******* down, there’s f****** kids in here.’
He then shoves him along the floor and the yob stumbles away – but not without the guard getting his own back and taking two more swipes by kicking him in the legs.
The video of the incident has been watched thousands of times on Facebook and people were quick to praise the actions of the shopper who had clearly had enough of the angry thug.
‘Good on the bloke flooring him,’ one wrote, while another asked: ‘Who’s the legend that took him down?’
One person commented: ‘The geezer who floored him is a security guard himself, well done for protecting the others.’
Hampshire Police was called to the store shortly after 6pm to reports a security staff member had been assaulted.
A spokesman for the force told MailOnline: ‘Officers attended and shortly afterwards made an arrest.
‘A 29-year-old man from Havant has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, racially aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, theft from a shop and possession of a controlled drug of class B.
‘He has been given police bail with conditions until Thursday 28 March, 2024, pending further enquiries.’
Tesco said it is aware of the incident and is assisting police with their investigation.
