Fugitive asked under his own appeal why police wanted him | UK News
A wanted man has taunted police on their own social media appeal for him, and asked for a ‘better photo’ to be used of him.
Daniel Biles, 35, is being searched for by Dyrfed-Powys Police in Wales on allegations of domestic abuse.
But Biles surprised many when he commented on the social media appeal for him.
He said: ‘That’s me lol but I ain’t done that what they’re saying, and I ain’t in Aber or Midlands, I’m in Newcastle, old photo that is, could have put a better picture up.
‘Dyfed-Powys Police why you chasing me for, no need I ain’t done anything, you need to start chasing paedophiles and your own police force.’
Biles, from Aberystwyth, is known to have links with the west Midlands, near Dudley.
It’s not the first time someone’s made the dim decision to promote their own police appeal on social media.
In 2018, a boneheaded suspect shared his own ‘wanted’ appeal on Facebook and branded detectives ‘muppits’.
Jamie Murphy was wanted in connection with a domestic violence allegation, and did not seem happy that Preston Police were ‘talking about his business’.
Preston Police posted the appeal, with a mugshot of Murphy, at 10.30am and by 2.30pm he had already started commenting underneath the post, which police claim has been seen by 77,000 people.
He posted: ‘People want to mind their own business and concentrate on their own life’s and family instead of sharing my life with your friends and posting comments, get a life.’
