Two teenage boys killed in horror crash days before Christmas | UK News
Two teenagers have died in a horrific car crash involving three vehicles in Northumberland, police have said.
Connor Lapworth, 18, died at the scene, and Corey Mavin, 15, died in hospital on Saturday after the collision at A192 Hartford Bank, in Cramlington.
Police shared the sad news on X, as they appealed for witnesses to come forward.
The teenagers were from Blyth, and had been travelling in a Suzuki Vitara with two other males, aged 41 and 17, who suffered serious injuries.
Around 9:30pm on Friday evening, the Suzuki Vitara, a Range Rover Evoque and a Ford Focus were involved in the collision.
A 36-year-old female driver of the Range Rover suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, while the 52-year-old female driver of the Ford Focus was uninjured.
Sergeant Russell Surrey, of Northumbria Police’s Motor Patrols department, said: ‘This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the two young people who have sadly lost their lives and those who have suffered injuries in this collision.
‘We will offer them all of the support they need and ask that their privacy is respected at this time.’
