Mum who ‘always put others first’ killed in crash alongside her two dogs | UK News
The first photos of the woman who was killed alongside her two dogs in a hit-and-run crash in Chigwell, Essex, have been released.
Marie Theobald, 48, died when she was hit by a car, believed to be a white Seat Leon, around 5pm on Friday, and was declared dead at the scene.
In a statement, her family said: ‘Marie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend. Marie was an honest, hardworking, selfless woman who would do anything for anyone. Marie always put others first.
‘The dogs Riley and Honey were much-loved members of the family.
‘They adored Marie as she adored them. May they all rest in perfect peace together.
‘The family ask for their privacy to be respected at this time.’
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene, and the Seat Leon was found nearby shortly after the collision.
No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing to trace the registered keeper of the vehicle, the force said.
