Police want to play Santa after finding stolen car full of Christmas presents | UK News
Most people are expecting their Christmas presents to be delivered by jolly Santa Claus in a red suit, rather than the boys in blue.
But officers at Avon and Somerset Police could end up moonlighting as Father Christmas after finding a stolen car full of wrapped presents.
The car was reported missing from an address in Redfield, Bristol on December 13 – and 40 minutes later it was seen being driven in the Stokes Croft area.
Officers stopped the car and arrested a man and woman on suspicion of stealing the vehicle. They’ve since been released on bail.
But they also found several wrapped bags of Christmas presents, which they believe were also stolen, potentially from other cars.
Most of the presents were labelled from ‘Debbie and Lee’ or from ‘Sarah, Rich, Max and Joe’.
Now the force want to hear from anyone who has information about the theft of the car or knows who the looted presents belong to.
It’s no reindeer-drawn sleigh, but their rightful owners will probably be just as happy for their gifts to be delivered by police car.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
