Trump claims doctor said he’s healthier than Obama: ‘No contest’ | US News

Former President Donald Trump claimed that a former White House doctor said he is healthier than his predecessor Barack Obama.
Trump bragged about the alleged remark to his fans at a campaign rally in Coralville, Iowa.
‘I just took a physical and I passed with flying colors. And I took a cognitive exam. I said, “Doctor, give me anything you want. I want to take it,”‘ said Trump, 77, on Wednesday night.
Trump then brought up Ronny Jackson, who after serving as the top White House physician has gone on to become a congressman.
‘He was my doctor. He was Obama’s doctor, too, by the way,’ Trump said. ‘I said, “Who’s healthier?” He said, “Sir, there’s no contest.” I won’t tell you the answer, but you know the answer, OK? It was me.’
The crowd of Trump supporters reacted gleefully.
Trump continued: ‘He said, “You’re the healthiest guy. If he didn’t eat junk food, he’d live to 200 years old.” That’s my kind of doctor.’
The 45th president added that Jackson gave him a cognitive exam that he ‘aced’ and that he ‘got everything right’ on his most recent one. Trump said his supporters in the front row who have been to more than 100 of his rallies would be the first to know if his mental capacity began declining.
‘But I feel right now I’m sharper than I was 20 years ago,’ boasted Trump. ‘And I don’t know why.’
Trump also said that he believes presidential candidates should be forced to take cognitive exams and made a reference to President Joe Biden, 81.
‘Look what we have in office,’ Trump said. ‘This guy cannot pass a cognitive exam.’
