Tesco urgent Christmas food recall as favourite item may have moths | UK News

Tesco has recalled a Christmas dinner favourite because there’s a chance it might have moths in it.

The supermarket’s ‘Finest’ Apple & Cranberry Stuffing Mix will be taken off the shelves due to the ‘possible presence’ of the insects.

An alert on the Food Standards Agency website calls for the return of the 130g tubs of the mix which has an expiry date of September 2024.

A statement says: ‘This product has a presence of insects (moths), which makes it unsafe to eat.’

Consumers are advised not to eat the stuffing mix, and to instead return it to the shop where it was bought to be given a full refund.

No receipt is required, Tesco said.
