Major incident declared at scene of ‘huge explosion’ on industrial estate | UK News
Emergency services are attending a ‘huge fire’ after reports of a large explosion at an industrial estate in the south Welsh village of Treforest.
South Wales Police have declared a major incident at the scene and closed several roads around the area.
Karl Johnson, a local councillor, told Sky News that he believed the incident happened at a business called Mindset Functional Fitness Ltd.
The front of the building has been ‘completely destroyed’, he said.
Councillor Andrew Morgan wrote on X, formerly Twitter: ‘There is a significant fire on the Treforest Industrial Estate, emergency services are on the scene.
‘Council staff are assisting with road closures, please avoid the area.’
