Benidorm legend Sticky Vicky dies aged 80 | UK News
Benidorm legend Sticky Vicky has died aged 80, her devastated family has announced.
Exotic dancer Vicky, real name Victoria María Aragüés Gadea was an icon in the Spanish holiday town, where she spent decades wowing audiences with her X-rated routines.
Her daughter broke the news of her passing on Facebook, where she wrote: ‘I regret these words, my mother Sticky Vicky passed away today at 6 in the morning, I can’t believe it.
‘She has gone, surrounded by her family, with all of our love.
‘I thank God for being able to always be by her side, I am left with a broken heart.’
Initially trained as a ballet dancer, Vicky gained infamy after moving to Benidorm in the 1980s and creating a nude magic show.
Her shows involved her pulling a variety of items from her private parts, including ping pong balls and razor blades.
She often performed to British tourists at the Costa Blanca resort, cementing herself as a local legend after performing six shows a night, six times a week in her heyday.
Vicky finally retired in 2015, after a 30 year career as a performer.
In July she was hospitalised after smashing her knees getting into her car.
She spent five days in hospital and was released before being swiftly returned after feeling more pain.
