Lawyer who ‘fatally shot dad after stealing $450,000 from mum’ is dead | US News

A suspended attorney who allegedly shot his father to death after stealing $450,000 from his mother’s trust fund has been discovered dead in his jail cell.
Brandon Labiner, 34, was found hanging and died by apparent suicide at Palm Beach County jail on Wednesday morning, his lawyer Val Rodriguez told WPTV.
He was arrested and charged for murdering his father, Paul Labiner, 68, in July.
Brandon was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
A man’s body was found in a pool of blood in a parking garage in Boca Raton that was the same building where Brandon and his dad worked. The man had gunshot wounds on his head, upper chest and lower body, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by the TV station. The suspect’s name was withheld due to Marsy’s Law.
Brandon’s law license was suspended in April and revoked in October due to a complaint initiated by his father alleging that he stole close to $450,000 out of his mother’s trust fund.
Brandon was due in court for a status check with a judge in West Palm Beach on November 28.
