A small plane collided with a car driving on the street after overshooting the runway at a small airport in Texas.
The collision took place on Saturday when the pilot of a single-engine Lancair IV-P Propjet made an emergency landing at the Aero Country Airport in McKinney, Texas, officials said.
The flight took off from an airfield in Midland, a west Texas oil town about 350 miles southwest of the Dallas suburb.
Three people were treated by first responders at the scene, including two people onboard the aircraft and one person in the car that it struck, the McKinney Fire Department said.
Video from the scene shows the small aircraft veer off the runway and smash through a barrier fence before careening onto a nearby street.
The plane then struck the a silver sedan that was driving on the roadway.
The video was captured by onlooker Jack Schneider, who told WFAA how he managed to film the dramatic scene.
‘I saw the airplane coming down the runway quickly I knew that he wasn’t gonna have time to stop,’ Schneider told the station. ‘It was clearly going too fast, the tires were smoking, so I quickly pulled out my phone because I could tell something was about to happen.’
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will investigate the cause of the botched landing and crash.
Saturday’s crash was the latest in a series of aviation accidents across the United States this year.

Days later, a FedEx cargo jet skidded off the runway in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Nobody was injured in the fiery crash landing.
