Money-saving expert Martin Lewis has said savvy customers can grab £205 from a high street bank for free – but they have to be quick.
The ITV presenter issued a last-minute warning that the deal from HSBC was to end at midnight tonight.
According to the Birmingham Mail customers do not need to switch banks but it does require a bit of crafty financial wizardry.
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, Lewis said: ‘Urgent. Totally FREE £205, you don’t need to switch banks to get it.
‘Got lots of successes saying how easy it is (you need to follow step-by-step tho). But I’m starting to get worried it may be pulled soon, so take a look ASAP to see if it’s for you.’
He added in an update: ‘It seems my tweet crystallised them announcing an end date. This will be closed on MONDAY midnight. So go quick.’
The offer involves opening an advanced account and then making a number of transactions.
Lewis said: ‘It isn’t you can literally put in £100, then withdraw, then do it again 15 times.
‘You don’t need £1,500 you just need to pay it in. You could pay £100 then withdraw it fifteen times to count. I’m tweaking it to make it clear.’
