Two people arrested after woman attacked by XL Bully | UK News
A woman was seriously injured in a suspected XL bully dog attack last night – and two people have now been arrested.
The attack is said to have happened at around 11pm last night residents in the Sydney Grove area of Wallsend, North Tyneside.
Northumbria Police received reports that a woman and two dogs had been injured.
The victim, aged 29, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and her two injured dogs were also taken for treatment.
A 22-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog and remain in custody, police said.
Two dogs, believed to be XL Bullies were seized, as well as three other dogs.
An investigation is ongoing and said officers will remain in the area carrying out enquiries.
