Rotherham: Moment thugs with baseball bats take a swing at car and home | UK News

This is the disturbing moment two thugs, armed with baseball bats, smashed up a car and a home.

CCTV footage shows the pair, whose faces are hidden by dark balaclavas, arriving outside the house in Herringthorpe, Rotherham, on a quad bike.

One of them can be seen marching up before taking a swing at the property off camera.

Loud crashing sounds can be heard on the video, which was released by police probing the attack.

The second man can then be seen casually walking up to the car parked outside the house and swinging the bat at it.

Both men, dressed in dark tracksuits, then casually stroll back to their vehicle and ride off.

South Yorkshire Police said it is investigating the ‘violent attack’, which happened on Saturday, September 30, at 1.30pm in Goldsmith Road.

‘We have released CCTV footage of a violent attack on a vehicle and property in Rotherham as our enquiries into criminal damage continue,’ a spokesperson said.

‘On Saturday, September 30, at 1.30pm it is reported that two men riding a quad bike stopped at a property on Goldsmith Road in Herringthorpe, Rotherham and caused criminal damage to the property and a vehicle parked on the street with baseball bats.

‘We are keen to hear from anyone who has information that can assist officers to progress their enquiries.
