The UK government has issued advice telling people to avoid all non-essential travel to Brussels.

Last night two football fans were shot dead in Belgium, and the gunman was this morning shot by police.

The capital was put on its highest terror alert after the terror attack last night meaning that a ‘threat is extremely serious’.

Officers finally apprehended the man in a café in the Schaerbeek neighbourhood earlier this morning.

He was rushed to hospital in an ambulance where he was in intensive care for at least an hour before it was confirmed that he died.
