Martin Lewis shares discount which could give some 50% off energy bills | UK News
The price of energy bills is set to be an issue for millions this winter – in spite of the recent drop in the energy price cap.
However help is at hand for those who need it – and while many energy companies are offering help to customers via the Warm Home Discount, those with a certain other supplier could be in line to get as much as 50 per cent off their bill.
However Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert has warned those people that if they want to take advantage of this they need to act fast.
The company behind it is E.on Next – and here’s how the scheme works.
What is E.on Next’s winter bills discount scheme?
Known as the Winter Support Affordability Scheme, utility suppliers E.on Next have introduced this in a bid to help their most vulnerable customers over the colder months.
According to their website the company will fund up to 50% off eligible customers’ bills from when they sign up until the end of March 2024.
The offer is available exclusively to E.on customers who have an income of less than £19,000 a year and those with certain medical dependency needs and an income of less than £31,000 per year.
E.on Next will offer customers 25% off their standard variable prices for the fixed term above if they have no energy debt at the time of signing up.
Those who do have a debt when they sign up will receive 50% off – and the debt will be removed at the end of the fixed term as long as the customer keeps up with payments.
The offer also includes a free insulation offer as part of the Great British Insulation Scheme.
Who is eligible for the discount?
