Swindon: Hamas supporter shouted ‘I’m going to cut your head off’ | UK News

A convicted Hamas supporter told a shop worker ‘I’m going to cut your head off’ because she ‘gave him a dirty look’.
Feras Al-Jayoosi, 36, also shouted ‘don’t ignore me’, and followed the woman around One Below, in Swindon, Wiltshire, on October 9.
The woman hid in a staff-only storage room but Al-Jayoosi then came up behind her, Swindon Magistrates Court heard.
She told him: ‘Please leave me alone, I’m not on shift yet.’
He then shouted: ‘I’m going to take your head off, I’m going to cut your head off’, prosecutor Keith Ballinger said.
Another staff member rushed to the woman’s aid before Al-Jayoosi was ushered out of the store.
Stephen Collins, defending, said his client ‘accepts a lot of upset was caused’ by his actions and confirmed no bail application is being made due to Al-Jayoosi being recalled to prison.
He has previously been convicted after wearing T-shirts supporting Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Golders Green, London, which has a large Jewish population.
Al-Jayoosi was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for two years at Westminster Magistrates Court in December 2021.
During the latest trial he pleaded guilty to a Section 4 Public Order Act offence and it has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report.
Al-Jayoosi was remanded in custody and will appear at the same court for sentencing on November 9.
