Lush faces backlash after displaying ‘boycott Israel sign’ in window | World News

A cosmetics brand has caused a stir after placing a ‘boycott Israel’ sign in the window of one of its shops.
The sign was put up in the window of Lush’s branch in Henry Street, Dublin over the weekend in response to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
A photograph of the sign was shared on X, formerly Twitter, showing the sign hanging above a display of bath bombs and other cosmetics.

The picture sparked backlash, with a number of people claiming they would never purchase from the brand again – though there were some comments in support of Lush’s stance.
A spokesman for Lush said: ‘We are a diverse company with staff of all ethnicities and religions whose personal views and opinions may vary, however, the following is our company position.
‘Lush deplores all violence and all injustice. Our wish is for peace and safety for all Israeli and Palestinian people.
‘We support the upholding of international law and the human rights of all peoples.’
