Palestinian and Israeli supporters clash at London Underground station | UK News
Police have had to intervene after Palestinian supporters were accused of causing ‘criminal damage’ after a rally in west London.
At least 5,000 people attended the rally at the Israeli embassy in High Street Kensington this evening at around 6pm.
Video footage showed groups of Palestinian supporters clashing in the arcade close to the Underground station.
The Met Police said in a statement: ‘We are aware of instances of suspected criminal damage in Kensington High Street.
‘Offices are on scene, intervening and gathering evidence.

‘We are actively seeking to locate and arrest those suspected of being involved in any criminal activity.’
They added: ‘We are engaging with protesters in Kensington High Street.
‘We encourage those taking part to do so safely and responsibly.
‘Do not put yourself or others at risk of injury by climbing street furniture or buildings.
‘Officers will take action if any criminal activity occurs.’
It comes after days of fighting between Israel and Palestine, with more than 3,000 people killed in the conflict since Saturday.
Earlier tonight Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the response to the Hamas attacks would ‘echo for generations’.
