More travel misery is set to impact travellers over the next nine days with a fresh round of strikes and action short of a strike leaving commuters and other travellers struggling.

The latest industrial action will see members of the Aslef walk out today, Saturday September 30 as well as Wednesday October 4.

Several rail trade unions have been taking industrial action over pay, job security, and working conditions, including the proposal for scrapping staffed booking offices and the introduction of driver-only trains.

To add to the misery of train strikes, London’s Tube network is set to grind to a halt with strikes on October 4 and Friday October 6 – while Aslef members are holding action short of a strike across the week, an overtime ban which is likely to result in hundreds of trains being cancelled.

Ahead of that disruption, which lines are likely to be affected by today’s strike?
