New images of Sara Sharif released in fresh police appeal | UK News
Police investigating the alleged murder of Sara Sharif have released new pictures of the 10-year-old girl.
Detectives have shared the images as part of a fresh appeal for more information to help aid the investigation.
The snaps show Sara dressed in the way officers believe she may have dressed in the months prior to her death, Surrey Police said.
Sara’s father Urfan Sharif, her stepmother Beinash Batool, and uncle Faisal Malik, have all been charged with her murder following their return from Pakistan last week.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: ‘We are hoping that these images will prompt more people to come forward with information about her and her family.’
Since Sara’s body was tragically found at her home in Hammond Road in the village of Horsall, near Woking, on August 10, officers have been speaking to local community leaders and distributing leaflets in the area.
Detective Superintendent Mark Chapman, from the Surrey Police and Sussex Police major crime team, said: ‘We have released these new images this week in the hope that it will prompt more people who knew Sara and her family to come forward.
‘We are grateful to everyone who has already contacted us, and I would like to stress that any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, is reviewed by the investigation team and further enquiries carried out if appropriate.
‘I would urge anyone who may have information and hasn’t yet come forward to reach out to us.’
