Pub landlord stabbed to death as woman arrested on suspicion of murder | UK News

Tributes have been paid to a landlord after he was found dying outside the pub he managed.

Matthew Bryant was discovered with life-threatening injuries outside the Hare and Hounds, in Maidstone, Kent, following a stabbing.

Police rushed to the pub on Lower Boxley Road at around 6pm on Monday.

Paramedics administered medical treatment but he was pronounced dead shortly after.

A large cordon was put in place between the roundabout at Staceys Street and the J&S Accessories shop.

A woman known to the man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.

Following the tragic death, people have paid respect to the landlord who took over the Hare and Hounds in 2015.

He had been a pub landlord for 25 years and also had long experience as a door supervisor, off and on for 30 years, it was reported by Kent Online.
