Search continues for boy, 17, missing after hike on Scottish Highlands | UK News

The urgent search continues for a 17-year-old boy who went missing while hiking in the Scottish Highlands.
Isaac Johnson has not been seen since he set off from Glen Moidart in Lochaber around lunchtime on Saturday.
He did not return home and was reported missing at 11pm that night.
Police, mountain rescue teams and the coast guard are all involved in a major search for the teenager.
It’s believed Isaac was in the area of a hill called Creag Nan Lochan. He was wearing shorts, a rain jacket, walking boots and was carrying an Addidas bag.
Chief Inspector Donna Allan said: ‘Isaac has failed to return home, and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
‘This is an extremely worrying time for his family.
‘We believe he was walking in the area south of Creag Nan Lochan and headed north east after that.
‘Officers, coastguard, and mountain rescue teams are carrying out extensive searches but there have been no confirmed sightings of him.
‘I would urge anyone with any information on Isaac’s whereabouts to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting 4427 of 12 August, 2023.’
