Ben Stokes fuming after British Airways loses his luggage | UK News

The English cricket team may have pulled out all the stops to draw the Ashes – but the team’s captain can’t currently say the same about the service he’s received from British Airways.

England came from 2-0 down against Australia to draw the series as Stuart Broad announced his retirement from the game.

But now team captain Ben Stokes is facing a different challenge – his luggage has gone missing.

Ben turned to Twitter, as many of us would, to air his grievance with British Airways after his bag was lost.

He said: ‘Bags not turned up off the plane @BritishAirways and help would be greatly appreciated.’

British Airways replied pretty sharpish, offering to look into the matter for him – but this drew criticism, with one Twitter user replying: ‘He, quite literally, is BEN STOKES. What more details do you need’.

Another Twitter user urged BA to act on the issue immediately, saying: ‘This is a national emergency.’

A third asked BA: ‘Have you reunited Ben with his bags yet? None of us will be able to rest until we hear the good news!’

And another decided to rub salt in the wound over the Ashes tie, saying: ‘Least the Ashes weren’t lost as Australia has them!’.
