The man who shot and killed 11 people at a synagogue in Pittsburgh in 2018 was sentenced to death.

In June, Robert Bowers was convicted for the attack on the Tree of Life – Or L’Simcha Congregation in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood on October 27, 2018.

The deadly shooting left 11 worshippers dead and six more wounded. It was the deadliest anti-Semitic terrorist attack on the Jewish community in American history.

After deliberating, a federal jury determined that Bowers will face the death penalty.
