A man who went missing after being swept out to sea while fishing has been named by his family.
Gareth Bowen, 46, was fishing from rocks in Trearddur Bay, Anglesea, on Saturday when he was swept into the sea.
A huge search and rescue operation was launched and continued until Sunday afternoon, when it was called off by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
He has not been found.
Mr Bowen’s family has thanked everybody involved in the search, the BBC reports.
His mother Lorraine said: ‘Our family are extremely grateful for the searches and effort undertaken by all of the agencies involved in the searches to find Gareth since Saturday evening.’
North Wales Police says its investigation into the incident is ongoing.
