US congressman issues spine-chilling prediction on alien invasion | Tech News
Humans will be unable to defeat an alien invasion should it ever happen, a US congressman on today’s UFO committee has warned.
Representative Tim Burchett told the Event Horizon podcast: ‘We are out of our league. We couldn’t fight them off if we wanted to. That’s why I don’t think they’re a threat to us, or they would already have been.’
But if they wanted to, he believes extra-terrestrials could ‘turn us into a charcoal briquette’.
Mr Burchett is a firm believer in the presence of UFOs, adding that alien spacecraft seen on Earth can ‘fly underwater and don’t show a heat trail’.
‘They [extraterrestrial craft] can travel light years or at the speeds that we’ve seen defy physics as we know it.’
Mr Burchett will be joining a panel from the House of Representatives today to hear testimony from three former intelligence and military personnel who say they have witnessed evidence of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), the 2023 term for UFOs.
The Republican congressman has often been vocal in his belief that UFOs exist, and earlier this month came out in support of the whistleblower David Charles Grusch who alleged the government was hiding evidence of alien spacecraft.
Speaking to the Washington Examiner, he said: ‘I think he’s telling the truth. I think there’s a lot that’s going to be out there.
‘There are enough witnesses, enough qualified pilots, astronauts, literally heroes of ours, who have come forward about things and so I think it’s pretty evident that government is covering up.
‘And the reason we don’t have any of that information now is a lot of it is so compartmentalised that the people that could connect the dots are long gone.’
He added he thinks the government has been ‘holding stuff back since Roswell in ‘47, and maybe prior to that’.
Mr Grusch is one of three giving testimony today, after blowing the story wide open in June when alleging the US was keeping evidence of alien spacecraft secret from the public.
He will be joined by two other former US military and intelligence community personnel, Ryan Graves and David Fravor, who both claim to have witnessed non-human aircraft.
The Subcommittee Hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Implications on National Security, Public Safety and Government Transparency will start at 3pm BST – and viewers can tune in here.
